Montalfoglio Castle has preserved the charm of forgotten things and for this very reason it has stayed the same through the years passing unscathed through the wars and the overbuilding that followed ,leaving everything as it was then. Beyond the high walls, you can enjoy the same breathtaking countryside landscape : the sweet lush hills , the sea that can be glimpsed to the east and the mountains that rise majestically to the west. Here , you can feel the air of another era , where dozens of birds rest and sing among the branches of the majestic hackberry trees, shade generous trees, born between the walls stones . The public garden below the walls , offers you a pleasant break among the trees of “forgotten fruits” , next to the still standing wash-house where all the women of the country used to do the washing.
Everything is taken care of to offer you a unique holiday in a place that conveys deep emotions.
